AEM Air Intake (21-703C) for 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.6L
Ford has made car buying easy for soon-to-be college bound students or anyone looking for a great economically responsible vehicle. An entry level price, good quality, great fuel economy, and functionality are all characteristics Ford compiled into the American version of the 2011-2013 Fiesta. The Fiesta has been a popular vehicle in Europe for quite some time so you can believe it is reliable and fun to drive.
AEM Air Intake (21-703P) for 2011 Ford Fiesta 1.6L
The 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta 1.6L can achieve an impressive 40 miles per gallon but
the lack of torque and consequently, horsepower is why AEM designed a cold
air induction system for this specific vehicle. AEM decided to make an
intake system with an emphasis on generating more torque in the lower region
of the power band where most driving occurs.
Power testing on AEM's air intake design, parts 21-703C and 21-703P,
resulted in an estimated gain of of 14 lbs./ft. torque and almost 11 horsepower at 4100 rpm. That's
significant add-on power from simply removing the restrictive factory intake assembly and replacing it with
one of these AEM cold air intakes. The intake's AEM Dryflow® air filter is located down inside the fender well. This location supplies the engine with cooler air which
contributes to the increase in engine performance.

Just take a look at the charts linked below to see the impressive
estimated gains that will make you forget you are driving a Ford Fiesta with
a 1.6 liter engine!
AEM's high quality intake systems are backed by a lifetime limited warranty. Parts 21-703C and 21-703P have 3/16" thick aluminum mounting brackets that provide extra strength.
These air intakes are identical except for the tube finish. The
21-703C is designed with a gunmetal gray
powder coating and 21-703P has a polished
chrome-like finish.
AEM has partnered with K&N to develop a
filter cleaner for AEM synthetic air filters that loosens dirt and grime so it
is easily washed away, ensuring your AEM Dryflow filter element lasts for
the life of your vehicle.

2008 to 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L Cold Air Intake
The latest Mitsubishi Lancer combines excellent fuel economy and sporty styling into a fun to drive sedan. The Lancer gets its power from a 2.0 liter engine that can provide an impressive 31 miles per gallon on the highway. Sporty suspension allows this vehicle to hug the road quite nicely when cutting corners. This popular vehicle can benefit from the extra horsepower offered by a cold air intake system but, designing one would not be a walk in the park.
Dyno Chart for AEM 21-679DS Air Intake System
AEM took on the challenge of designing a cold air intake system for the Mitsubishi Lancer to increase performance
by reducing restriction and getting to cooler outside air. An estimated gain of 5.3 horsepower
@ 6200 RPM was measured using AEM's 21-679DS cold air intake on a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0L. This air intake fits many 2008 through 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer models with the 2.0 liter engine. See vehicle details below.
AEM designed the 21-679DS cold air intake to squeeze around the battery to reach cooler air from the driver's side fender
and feed it to the engine. John Concialdi, of AEM commented on the
development efforts, "The battery placement made the design of this kit difficult and it took a lot of attention to get sufficient clearance." With the battery in the way, a rotomolded plastic tube was designed to clear the space between the battery and the hood. This is a newer feature for AEM
designs as aluminum intake tubes have mainly been used for AEM intake systems in the past. A rotomolded plastic tube gives engineers more design options which was needed in the case of the Mitsubishi Lancer.
Concialdi mentioned that, "Many of the newer designs will feature an air box with innovative methods to introduce lower temperatures to the engine." Cooler air temperatures normally allow engines to produce more power. AEM's 21-679DS cold air intake includes a rotomolded upper intake pipe, a lower aluminum intake pipe with a gunmetal gray finish, all of the necessary hardware and detailed installation instructions.
AEM air intakes are application specific and made from high quality materials. AEM provides a limited lifetime warranty on all AEM air intakes. The
DryFlow® air filter (21-203DK) included with AEM's 21-679DS cold air intake system, is washable and reusable which means a replacement air filter will never need to be purchased again. AEM Dryflow® air filters
are very durable and they do not use oil which saves time servicing the air filter.

21-698C intake for Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2.0L
In 2009 Mitsubishi decided to expand and improve their Lancer offerings and one of their new high performance offerings came in the form of the Lancer Ralliart. This sports sedan fills the void in
the Mitsubishi's Lancer lineup between the naturally aspirated DE, ES, and GTS models and the super high performance Lancer Evolution. The Lancer Ralliart comes with a turbocharged 2.0L motor that delivers 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque to all 4 wheels through an automated dual-clutch manual transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel.
21-698C dyno chart
AEM's 21-698C cold air intake system for 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Lancer Ralliart
models with 2.0 liter engines gives this impressive platform an estimated 16.8 horsepower and 23 lb-ft of torque to the wheels
at 6050 RPM. The intake system comes with a low restriction rotomolded
plastic tube and a large capacity airbox and airbox lid to isolate the filter from radiant heat under the hood. This precision tuned
air intake system comes with AEM's washable and reusable DryFlow® air filter for excellent airflow and filtration
and a filter minder gauge to indicate when it's time to clean the filter.
The air intake design utilizes the factory intake scoop to provide the car with fresh, cooler air from outside the vehicle.
AEM's engineers went through several combinations of tube diameters, DryFlow air filter sizes, and sealed or unsealed airboxes to determine the best solution for the Ralliart. The goal was to maximize air flow to the turbo, minimize intake air temperatures (IATs), and maintain proper fuel trims to stay within the factory mass air flow (MAF) sensor calibration. The end result included a sealed airbox to maintain near ambient IATs.
The final design also yielded low air velocity around the AEM DryFlow air filter. This low velocity around the filter element allows for even dust loading and helps prevent
uneven flow characteristics which can affect MAF sensor readings.
