Socks are unquestionably the most underrated, underappreciated and misunderstood pieces of apparel we depend on daily. In the eighth century Greeks wore socks made from matted animal hair, and during the tenth century, due to the difficulty of producing socks, they were a luxury item reserved only for the rich.
