Boost 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler 4.0L Performance with AEM Brute Force Air Intake

1997-2006 TJ Wrangler AEM Cold Air Intake

The AEM 21-8311DC 1997-2006 Brute Force air intake system has reinforced, tig-welded mounting brackets for increased durability

Jeep owes more than its name to the General Purpose (GP) vehicles of World War II. It also owes its durability, persona, and go-anywhere capability to the GP’s of yesteryear. The Jeep Wrangler has carried this esteemed mantle with pride from the mid-1980s to present day with a short wheel base and a competent off-road demeanor that has created a massive, loyal group of enthusiasts across the globe. From 1997-2006, the TJ Wrangler reigned supreme with optional Dana axles, 30” wheel and tire packages and a myriad of special edition trim levels. Jeep Wranglers retain their value much better than other vehicles and for good reason, as they still continue to deliver durable performance.

A vehicle with such durability and capability deserves an upgrade that complements it to the core and the AEM 21-8311DC or 21-8311DP Brute Force air intake systems are just the answer. Like the Jeep Wrangler TJ, durability and performance are at the core of the 21-8311DC/21-8311DP Brute Force air intake systems.

1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler Cold Air Intake

The AEM 21-8311DP Brute Force air intake system is 50-state legal on specific 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler applications

1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L performance is improved with an AEM mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube which replaces the corrugated plastic factory unit to streamline airflow into the engine. The tube mounts securely to the vehicle with 3/8” thick tig-welded brackets for increased strength, and double-wound hose clamps secure every connection. A throttle body spacer is included as well to help improve low-end torque. The AEM 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L air intake system is available in two finish options; either polished appearance 21-8311DP or a powder coated gunmetal grey 21-8311DC.

The AEM Dryflow non-oiled synthetic air filter is oversized to aid in minimizing restriction and providing a high dirt capacity. Jeep Wranglers thrive in dirty, off-road environments and that’s where the AEM 21-2039DK Dryflow air filter shines, ensuring your TJ gets the clean air it needs to play in the dirt all day long. The Dryflow media is a lofted, non-woven synthetic material supported on both sides by a wire mesh. It utilizes depth loading technology for excellent filtration efficiency and engine protection.

The Jeep Wrangler, a vehicle with legendary durability and capability, deserves an upgrade that complements it to the core and an AEM Brute Force air intake system is the answer

Best of all, the 21-2039DK Dryflow air filter is washable and reusable and does not require any oil. Just once every 100,000 miles or so, depending on driving conditions, remove the filter from the vehicle and service it using the AEM 1-1000 Dryflow air filter cleaner. Furthermore, an application specific air filter heat shield shrouds the filter from radiant heat coming off the engine as well as splashes of water or mud. An AEM Dryflow Pre-Filter Wrap 1-4001, is available separately and offers the AEM air filter additional protection from large debris sticking in the pleats and splashes of water.

Add Reusable Performance to Nissan Infiniti or Renault with AEM Dryflow Air Filter

AEM Nissan, Infiniti, or Renault replacement air filter

The AEM Nissan, Infiniti, or Renault replacement air filter uses three-dimensional filter media supported by a structural screen to achieve high airflow without compromising filtration efficiency

Nissan Motor Company was founded in 1933 and has been an innovator and leader of Japanese automotive manufacturing ever since. From the legendary performance of Godzilla, the Skyline GT-R, to affordable dino-fuel-friendly hybrids and luxury SUVs, Nissan and its related Infiniti and Renault brands have a car for just about everyone. Across all of Nissan’s models, though, there’s one thing holding them all back - the disposable factory air filter. Thankfully, AEM has a solution with its reusable Dryflow performance replacement air filters.

The AEM 28-20409 Dryflow replacement air filter is designed to increase horsepower and torque on the Nissan, Infiniti and Renault models listed below. The core of this air filter is AEM’s three-dimensional synthetic media, which provides excellent filtration efficiency and engine protection as well as a high dirt capacity. The media is supported on both sides by an aluminum wire mesh for increased structural strength, which also helps to straighten airflow. A durable urethane sealing lip encircles the perimeter of the media and is precision-engineered to create an air-tight seal in the factory air box.

Another benefit of the 28-20409 design is that it is washable and reusable. Servicing the filter is very simple, especially since the filter does not require any oil. Just once every 50,000 miles (approximately 80,000 km) or so, depending on driving conditions, simply remove the AEM replacement air filter from the vehicle and clean it using AEM’s Dryflow Air Filter Cleaner. The Dryflow air filter cleaning process is straight forward. Simply remove the filter, apply the cleaner, rinse the filter, dry and reinstall. Visit AEMintakes.com for step-by-step instructional videos.

AEM covers the 28-20409 Dryflow air filter with its Lifetime Limited Warranty, giving owners the assurance that this easy-to-install performance upgrade will last the life of their vehicle and beyond. 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L Multi-Air Gets Improved Performance with AEM Air Intake

AEM cold air intake 21-769C for the 2015 Jeep Renegade

AEM cold air intake designers created a dyno-proven air intake system for 2015 Jeep Renegade models equipped with a 2.4L Tigershark Multi-Air engine

The 2015 Jeep Renegade is a subcompact crossover SUV from Jeep. Although it is a Jeep, the 2015 Renegade is built in Melfi, Italy alongside the related Fiat 500X. Both vehicles share the Small US Wide 4x4 architecture platform. In a bold move for Jeep, the Renegade is the first Jeep model to be produced exclusively outside of North America. An optional 2.4L Tigershark Multi-Air engine and nine speed transmission can be found under the hood of 2015 Jeep Renegade models. The 2.4 L Tigershark SOHC inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine is rated at a respectable 184 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque from the factory. However, as is the case with many small displacement engines, AEM engineers are able to squeeze more power from this Fiat based Jeep with the installation of an AEM air intake system.

AEM cold air intake 21-769C for the 2015 Jeep Renegade

An AEM air intake is designed to increase power by reducing air intake restriction and turbulence with the use of a new aluminum intake tube and performance air filter

AEM cold air intake designers created a dyno-proven air intake system for 2015 Jeep Renegade models equipped with a 2.4L Tigershark Multi-Air engine. AEM air intake, 21-769C, was installed and dyno tested on an stock 2015 Jeep Renegade all-wheel drive automatic and showed improved horsepower and torque delivery across the RPM range. AEM engineers witnessed a max estimated 6.6 horsepower gain at 6,200 RPM and an estimated max additional 5.5 lb-ft of torque. 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L owners will be able to immediately feel a difference in performance when merging onto a highway, passing a slow moving truck, or even conquering the trails.

An AEM short ram air intake or an AEM cold air intake is designed to increase power by reducing air intake restriction and turbulence. In the case of the 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L air intake, number 21-769C, AEM accomplishes this goal by replacing restrictive factory components with performance engineered parts from AEM. This air intake system includes a new mandrel-bent aluminum air intake tube, protected by a charcoal gray powder coat, mated to an AEM performance Dryflow® air filter and protected by an application specific air filter heat shield.

AEM cold air intake 21-769C for the 2015 Jeep Renegade

AEM 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L air intake 21-769C relocates the factory inlet air temperature (IAT) sensor to the end of the AEM Dryflow filter to better measure air temperature

Another way how to increase horsepower of 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L SUVs is by providing cooler, denser, air to the engine. More air is important for performance but so is the quality of air. Cooler air has more mass, and can translate into more efficient combustion. AEM 2015 Jeep Renegade 2.4L air intake 21-769C relocates the factory inlet air temperature (IAT) sensor to the end of the new AEM performance air filter. This helps the engine’s computer to better measure the air temperature entering from the original equipment air inlet duct. The AEM air filter, number 21-209ED-HK, is surrounded by an air filter heat shield to deflect engine heat.

AEM engineers design intake systems as a fully integrated component of the vehicle. Significant testing is performed to assure that an AEM air intake is an easy way to increase horsepower safely, and consistently. AEM air intake owners can feel confident knowing that their AEM CAI or short ram intake system is designed to improve performance for years to come. AEM non-oiled Dryflow performance air filters are extremely durable and can be washed then reused with performance that is virtually like new. AEM cold air intake systems are made in the U.S.A and backed with a lifetime limited warranty giving further assurance that AEM is confident in its products.

AEM Equipped Honda Ridgeline Race Truck First Seen at SEMA Conquers Baja 1000

Honda SCORE Unlimited Class 2 Ridgeline at 2015 SEMA Show

Honda revealed its newest entry into 4-wheel off-road desert racing when it unveiled the Unlimited Class 2 Ridgeline race vehicle in the Honda Booth during the 2015 SEMA Show

Honda revealed its newest entry into 4-wheel off-road desert racing when it unveiled the new Unlimited Ridgeline race vehicle in the Honda Booth at the 2015 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. The physical reveal was met with great applause by fans and media alike. The custom built unlimited off-road race vehicle is backed by Honda Performance Development (HPD), the racing arm of American Honda Motor Company, Inc.

Honda Unlimited Class 2 Ridgeline before 2015 SCORE Baja 1000

The 2015 SCORE Baja 1000 was the maiden voyage for the new vehicle and team led by team owner/driver Jeff Proctor along with drivers Sage Marie and Jason LaFortune

The Unlimited Ridgeline features a twin-turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 engine, which is the same engine platform utilized in Honda's respected Indy Car program. The vehicle also features the best parts and technology available in off-road including, an Albins ST6 sequential transmission, Fox racing shocks, rugged General Grabber tires, Rigid LED Lights, KMC Wheels new Machete Wheel, and AEM Dryflow Air Filters.

The 2015 SCORE Baja 1000 was the maiden voyage for the new vehicle and team led by team owner/driver Jeff Proctor. The tube-frame Unlimited Class 2 off-road Ridgeline Baja Race Truck made its competition debut at the brutal 2015 Baja event, which consisted of an 821-mile loop that started and finished in Ensenada, Mexico. The driving trio of Jeff Proctor, Sage Marie and Jason LaFortune successfully piloted their Ridgeline Baja Race Truck to the Class 2 victory in the 48th running of the SCORE Baja 1000.

Honda Unlimited Class 2 Ridgeline with 550 HP twin-turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 engine

The Unlimited Ridgeline features a twin-turbocharged Honda HR35TT V6 engine, capable of 550 HP, and is the same engine platform utilized in Honda's Indy Car program

Less than half of the 239-competitor starting field finished the 2015 Baja 1000 event, as limited visibility due to fog and dust added to the usual challenges of high-speed desert crossings, technical, rocky mountain trails, silt beds, washes, ditches and jumps throughout the course. Despite the obstacles and high attrition, the Ridgeline Baja Race Truck ran trouble-free, completing the event in 25 hours, nine minutes and 47 seconds.

"The course was extremely tough today, and it seemed like Baja threw everything it could at us, but the Ridgeline ran flawlessly all day," said Proctor, driver and owner of Proctor Racing Group. "We couldn't be happier with how it performed on its maiden voyage." Honda has a long history of motorcycle race success at Baja, scoring two dozen victories, including 17 consecutive wins in the SCORE Baja 1000 through 2013. Honda entered four-wheeled SCORE competition on the Baja peninsula in 2005 competing in the Stock Mini class with a Honda Ridgeline.

Jeff Proctor, Sage Marie and Jason LaFortune earned SCORE Class 2 victory in the 48th running of the SCORE Baja 1000

The driving trio of Jeff Proctor, Sage Marie and Jason LaFortune successfully piloted their Ridgeline Baja Race Truck to the Class 2 victory in the 48th running of the SCORE Baja 1000

The Honda Ridgeline Baja Race Truck was developed by Honda as a preview to the introduction of the second-generation Honda Ridgeline. Honda unveiled the second-generation Honda Ridgeline compact pickup at its public debut during the 2016 North American International Auto Show. The Ridgeline Baja Race Truck features a body with inspiration taken from the second generation Honda Ridgeline. Key design cues drawn from the 2017 Honda Ridgeline can be seen in the front fascia, hood, roof, bed, and side profile.

Although the Honda Ridgeline Baja Race truck is capable of making approximately 550 horsepower, HPD's 3.5-liter HR35TT engine uses the same block, cylinder heads and crankshaft as the production V6 engine that will power the all-new second generation Ridgeline. Additional, custom elements of the powertrain include an HPD-designed intake plenum and custom Engine Control Unit programming.

The Honda Off-Road Racing Team is sponsored by: Honda, General Tire, Fox Racing Shox, Rigid Industries, KMC Wheels, Turnkey Marketing, Sparco, Eibach Springs, Neo Synthetics, RPI Racing, PCI Race Radios, AEM Intakes, and Fiberwerx Off-Road Fiberglass.
