Free Up Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Turbo Horsepower with AEM Short Ram Intake System

In an effort to increase fuel efficiency without sacrificing passenger space the cross over SUV market has grown by leaps and bounds. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport has an advantage over much of its competition by offering the Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with a 2.0L turbocharged engine. AEM cold air intake designers were able to free up some Hyundai Santa Fe Sport Turbo horsepower by reducing restriction while also increasing the amount of air available to the 2.0L Theta Turbo engine. Boosting performance of 2014-2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0L models is accomplished by replacing the restrictive factory air intake ducting and enclosed air filter box with a free-flowing mandrel bent aluminum AEM air intake tube and a large open element AEM Dryflow® air filter. An AEM short ram intake system, like number 21-749C for 2014-2015 Santa Fe Sport 2.0L turbo models, is able to minimize restriction, straighten airflow, and increase the amount of airflow available to the engine. More air and less restriction means more usable power throughout the engine’s RPM range by allowing the engine and turbocharger to work more efficiently. The 2014 and 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0T short ram intake is designed to improve horsepower and torque delivery across the entire RPM range compared to the factory air filter box system. On the dyno, a stock 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport 2.0L with an automatic transmission and equipped with AEM short ram intake 21-749C made an estimated additional 11 horsepower and an impressive 13 lb-ft of additional torque at 4,300 RPM . In addition to increasing horsepower, lowering air intake tract restriction and increasing airflow will help the Santa Fe Sport engine’s turbocharger spool up quicker, which in turn improves acceleration, drivability, and gives the Santa Fe a sportier engine sound.
