Back in 1989, Toyota shocked the world by offering a well executed luxury sedan that cost many thousands less than its European competitors. Fast forward 20 years, and Hyundai did the exact same thing with their first generation Genesis sedan. Like Toyota, Hyundai was known for making cheap cars.
