2014-2015 Ford Fusion 2.0L EcoBoost Turbo Upgrade to Better Performance with AEM Intake

Ford EcoBoost technology has managed to squeeze good power and excellent fuel economy out of surprisingly small engines. The 2.0L EcoBoost inline-four cylinder engine is the top performing available engine for 2014 and 2015 Ford Fusion models. This small, but fun-to-drive, engine provides a fusion of excellent fuel economy with 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. 2014 and 2015 Ford Fusion 2.0L EcoBoost turbo models can be upgraded to an AEM intake system that replaces the restrictive factory air intake ducting and enclosed air filter box with a free-flowing mandrel bent aluminum AEM air intake tube and a large open element AEM Dryflow® air filter. An AEM intake system, like number 21-743C for 2014 and 2015 Ford Fusion 2.0L EcoBoost turbo models, is able to minimize restriction, straighten airflow, and increase the amount of airflow available to the engine. More air and less restriction means more usable power throughout the engine’s RPM range by reducing the amount of energy needed for the engine and turbocharger to breathe.
The AEM 2014 to 2015 Ford Fusion 2.0L EcoBoost turbo air intake has been dyno tested and shown to improve horsepower and torque delivery across the entire RPM range. On the dyno, a stock 2014 Ford Fusion 2.0L EcoBoost with all-wheel drive (AWD) made an estimated additional 11 horsepower and a remarkable 15 lb-ft of additional torque at 4,100 RPM when equipped with AEM air intake 21-743C. In addition to increasing horsepower, lowering air intake tract restriction and increasing airflow will help the 2.0 EcoBoost engine’s turbocharger to spool up quicker, in turn improving acceleration, drivability, and giving the Ford Fusion a sportier engine sound.
