AEM's replacement air filters are washable and reusable, intended to go 100,000 miles between cleaning, depending on driving conditions.

The cylindrical, cone-shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles (depending on driving conditions) before it needs to be cleaned, but you can inspect and clean it more often if you wish. Its pleated design and unique synthetic medium allow more dust and particles to be collected before air enters the induction system, so while there may be a big buildup in the filter, it can be easily cleaned with AEM 1-1000 air filter cleaner spray, rinsed in running water, dried, and reinstalled.
