2007 & 2008 Chevrolet/GMC 6.0-Liter HD Trucks Gain Power with AEM Air Intake System

The revised 2007-08 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks (2500HD & 3500HD) are available in a wide variety of configurations. The trucks can be custom ordered in a standard cab, extra cab or crew cab, in addition to cargo styles, wheelbase lengths are available in a number of different formats as well. With more options and more standard features, the 2007-08 2500HD and 3500HD trucks have been said to be the "Silverado's bigger, tougher brother" by the editors at Motor Trend.

To fulfill the need for added performance, AEM Induction Systems has released two Brute Force Air Intake Systems, part 21-8026DP with a polished finish and part 21-8026DC with a gunmetal gray finish for the 2007-08 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD equipped with the 6.0-liter V8 engine.
These Brute Force air intake systems are constructed from high-quality mandrel-bent aluminum inlet tubes with an AEM oil-free DRYFLOW performance air filter. Most AEM systems emphasize tuning of resonance properties to deliver higher airflow to the engine. The piping is routed in such a manner that the air filter can receive airflow from a safe and cool location. In addition to an engineered intake tube and air filter, these systems include a steel powder coated heat shield that protects the air filter from road dirt and restricts much of the engine heat from entering the air inlet tube.

utilize a large oil-free DRYFLOW performance air filter (21-2100DK). These
air filters have a flange inside diameter of 6-inches (152mm), and a height of
8.125-inches (206mm), allowing them to deliver a generous amount of airflow to
the 6.0-liter V8 engine of the Silverado and Sierra. The DRYFLOW air filter
media creates a filter that is extremely durable, easily cleaned and delivers excellent filtration.
These air intakes come with a limited lifetime warranty.
